For the past year, SeoulGrid has been looking for a quality pizza joint, but we kept coming up short. Although there are some very expensive Italian restaurants that serve quality pizza, few people are willing to pay 30,000KRW for a pizza that barely feeds one person. So the SeoulGrid team had a recent discussion, and we unanimously agreed that Costco has the most bang for the buck.

As a reviewer, it’s always rewarding to stumble upon a place that surpasses my expectations. Small, family owned and operated, and located up a tiny backstreet near Ewha Women’s University, Tandoori Restaurant has all the markings of a quality establishment.
Berlin @ Itaewon – Like the 1920s, But No Prohibition
Immediately as I stepped inside Berlin in Itaewon, I could feel an overwhelming sense that I was back in the 1920’s. The atmosphere of Berlin was carefully designed with all things from glasses to the floors kept in mind. After my first drink came out, I understood that that the atmosphere, which was so carefully crafted, was predictive of the quality the other drinks and dishes that would soon be present.

The Flying Pan Cafe Blue @ Itaewon – Like Grandma’s, but Better
Located in the heart of Itaewon, this breakfast bistro offers the atmosphere and food to amply help anyone pass the day. The flying pan has a lively menu that seeks to reinvent ‘Momma’s’ old brunch favorites, and brunch is served all day from 10:30am to 11pm.
Mike Porto on Arirang TV! (Soju Special – 소주 특집)
Arirang TV was kind enough to ask SeoulGrid to help film a piece about Soju in Korea. Obviously, we said yes. After about a day of filming and the producer having to put up with Mike Porto’s annoyingly gregarious personality, the following video was produced! Please enjoy.
