Seoul Fashion Week @ Daechidong – Mini Review + Images

Posted by Mike Porto On October - 31 - 2010

Seoul Fashion Week Main Image
Seoul Fashion Week turned out as expected. All shows were tasteful without outlandish outfits. The designers all chose to present items which could be worn, as opposed to just being pieces of art. This is why I really enjoyed Seoul Fashion Week.

Mike Porto on Arirang TV! (Soju Special – 소주 특집)

Posted by Mike Porto On September - 1 - 2010

Mike Soju Han River

Arirang TV was kind enough to ask SeoulGrid to help film a piece about Soju in Korea. Obviously, we said yes. After about a day of filming and the producer having to put up with Mike Porto’s annoyingly gregarious personality, the following video was produced! Please enjoy. If you can’t enjoy it on the first view, trying viewing it again with soju in hand.

What’s up, SeoulGrid? This weekend is Pentaport rock festival! It calls itself “rock festival”, but there are four stages with a wide variety of music, so no worries if rock isn’t your style — it’s not only for the rockers among us. There are only a few of these huge outdoor festivals per year in Seoul, so make sure to at least check out the lineup. Details after the jump.

Going out alone in Seoul: How to Build a Social Circle

Posted by Guest Author On July - 5 - 2010

Seoul Night

With summer rolling around, there are going to be a lot of people coming to Seoul on vacation. I know going out to party in a new city can be intimidating, so I invited a friend of mine who has worked as a dating coach in Seoul for the past two years to write a guest article this week. In it, he’s going to provide some basic information on Seoul’s social scene and give some advice on going out alone to meet new people and build a new social circle. So without further adieu, here it is: I hope you all enjoy it!

July First Thursdays Afterwork with Veuve Clicquot

Posted by Richard On July - 3 - 2009

The party was a success.  We had a record number of people showing up to the afterwork function starting from 9pm until 1am.  I counted 163 people at 11:50pm, and that certainly isn’t bad for a Thursday night.  Great music by DJ Layy and Yoo who know how to spin some good chillout lounge music.

I cannot wait for pictures to arrive.  We had two photographers taking pictures throughout the night.  We will get them probably next Monday.  Until then, keeping coming back for updates and of course, the pictures.

And now, stay tuned for the Belvedere IX  launching tonight!
