Upcoming: Seoul Bar Reviews

Posted by Richard On July - 10 - 2009

cocktail

For the next few months, I will be checking out these bars.  I will further categorize these venues into the following categories:

- Cocktail bars

- Wine bars

- Hotel bars

- Whisky bars (bars with a good selection of whiskies, since I am a single malt fan)

And also, when I have the time I will have some “fun” reviews of more affordable and louder bars.

If you have any suggestions or recommendations, feel free to leave a comment.

July First Thursdays Afterwork party pictures are out!  Despite the event being hosted on a Thursday, the turnout for it was great.  It was a lounge party with orange lighting to go with Veuve Clicquot’s label color.  Invitees gradually and continuously showed up until midnight.

While sipping on Veuve Clicquot champagne, invited guests initiated conversation with others and got conversations flowing.  After reaching a point where it was no longer clear whether it was conversation or champagne that flowed more in the venue, people started to dance to lounge music of DJ Yoo.

Belvedere IX Launching Party pictures are up.  It was one hell of a party with people dressed in pink, black or white.

As I mentioned in my previous posts, I liked the taste of Belvedere IX a lot.  I loved the herbal finish.  I would almost describe it as a cross between Belvedere Pure and Bombay Sapphire.

Redefining Trendiness in Seoul

Macaroni Market is by far one of my favorite hangout places in Seoul.  It’s not everywhere you can find a cafe & deli for a sandwich and a cup of tea, restaurant space for full course dinner and a private club where you can have a well-made cocktail or two while dancing the night away.

Pictures and descriptions after the jump.
