Your Guide to Premium Nightlife in Seoul

Club Answer, Seoul

Le Nuit Blanche is now Club Answer, again.

For Club Answer, one of Seoul’s most popular clubs, the last year or so has been nothing short of eventful. The club’s once mysterious insides took the public stage when controversially revealing photos of clubbers on the internet hit the news. Then toward the latter part of 2009, it closed down for renovations, re-opening with a brand new, confusing, and for many koreans, hard-to-pronounce name: “Le Nuit Blanche.” It soon changed back to “Answer,” though its intimidatingly luxurious gates that still bear the French name. [Editorial note: The sign out front finally reads "Club Answer" again.]

Despite the chaos, Club Answer’s penchant for exceptional music selection and a consistently great crowd that knows how to party have made it without a doubt one of the best clubs in Seoul.

From the moment you step past its mysterious black doors, you’re hit with fierce light and music supported by a state of the art sound and lighting system. By midnight, the stage and dance floor are packed with clubbers entranced by the music spun by some of the world’s most renowned DJs, including the likes of Paul Van Dyk and Benny Benassi.

Like Eden, the club’s interior is nothing short of luxurious. With plush white leather seating, chandeliers, and a marbled floor, the place looks more like a classic mansion than a electro-house club.

The venue is made up of two floors — a regular dancing area that stretches out to sea of tables, and a second VIP floor where you can enjoy an isolated and elevated experience above the mayhem of the dancefloor, but at a cost.

Tables:

1st floor:

  • W300,000 – champagne set
  • W400,000 – magnum champagne set

    best club in seoul!

  • James

Yeah, you really can’t ever go wrong with Answer in my opinion. The resident DJs all play electro, so the music is top-notch on any given night.

  • 4nonymous

Le Nuit Blanche layout was a little weird so i stopped going. but since their remodeling it’s my top pick club in seoul

  • Amanda

Answer always brings in the biggest DJs too — benassi, paul van dyke, deadmau5, sasha, infected mushroom, pot belleez, sander kleinenberg, etc

  • anonymous

Hey benedict, what is the biggest club in Seoul? in terms of capactiy, I saw an article about a mega club called.. Milk but couldn’t find any info on it. Did it open? If not, what are some other mega clubs?

  • James

“Club Milk” changed its name before it ever opened (thank god), and is actually Club Heaven. In terms of raw capacity, Heaven is definitely the biggest — it has a dance-floor on the first and second floor, and is essentially two clubs in one (second floor becomes an after-club around 4am). It’s multi-room and kind of maze-like.

However, Eden has the biggest dancefloor, since the club is designed as one giant open space.

  • highlandpark81

oh club heaven’s original name was milk? lol interesting. that woulda been pretty gay though

  • darom

Answers pretty sweet. After a crazy night of fun, nothing beats 설렁탕 (seollung tang) at 박대감 (Park Daegam) nearby haha. I’m craving it!

  • highlandpark81

@darom, Galbitang at that place is good too!

  • redshift0091

those pics look so pretty! who’s the photographer?

  • Min

i always eat 김치찌개 across the street hehehe

  • snonymous

At Club Heaven, do the two dance floors have different types of music? Is it electronic or hip hop?

  • Gopher

during normal club hours speakers on the top floor are synched with the ones on the first floor (the main dance floor). During afterhours the second floor plays psytrance.

    Dear Disco-Funky clubbers,

I’m a new comer in Seoul… (37 years old) I love dancing Disco-Funky Music from 70′s and 80′s (Michael Jackson, Travolta, Bee-Gees, Donna summer e.t.c) or at least Disco-House. Do they exists Clubs with such a kind of music in Seoul. I’ll apreciate names, address, and telephones.. thanks in advance!

I went there in September 2010 when Laidback Luke was playing. It was very crowded but the music of LL made up for that! Now, the club itself is not worth W30,000 just to get in and get one free drink! The drinks were expensive and the crowd was somewhat uptight and not very friendly. A lot of Caucasian models who sometimes can be a little too full of themselves.

I would not go back to Club Answer unless one of my favorite international DJs were playing there.
