SeoulGrid Guide to Clubbing Vol. 16What’s up, SeoulGrid? This week welcomes us with a First Thursday’s Afterwork party on Thursday, warms us up with a champagne pool party at Hamilton Hotel on Friday afternoon, and then finishes us off with some regular club madness. Sound fun? Read on.

Thursday, July 1st:

This Thursday is the first day of July, which means it’s time for First Thursdays Afterwork. The Afterwork parties are consistently some of the best social events in Seoul, so stop by with your friends or coworkers to kick back with some champagne and meet some new people.

It’s happening in two locations again this month: Function in Itaewon and OGA in Sinsa / Cheongdam. I stopped by the OGA location last month, and I was really impressed with the place. It’s a really unique venue with a nice terrace for enjoying these warm summer nights. And you’re all probably familiar with Function by now — this is the defining venue of Nu-Itaewon, and one of my favorite lounge-clubs in Seoul. Both spots will be hot, so take your pick.

The party goes from 8:30 PM until 1:00 AM. And if you still feel like partying afterward, you’re in luck, because…

Also going on this Thursday is a NExc!te party at Club LUV in Itaewon. NExc!te throws some of the most popular hip-hop parties in Seoul, and Club LUV is Seoul’s hottest new lounge club.

Entry Fee: W10,000 with free drink, but they have a free guestlist if you register beforehand.

Time: 10pm – 5am

Friday, July 2nd:

(CANCELED DUE TO WEATHER)On Friday, Piper HeidSieck is throwing a pool party at Hamilton Hotel to celebrate their latest product, “Piscine Island,” a floating champagne bar.(CANCELED DUE TO WEATHER)

Piscine Island -- Piper Heidsieck Pool Party @ Hamilton Hotel, Itaewon, Seoul

Yes, that’s right: pool party. The party starts at 11:00 AM and goes until 8:00 PM, so stop by after you finish work… Or consider taking the day off to relax in the sun with your friends ;)

Entry fee: W30,000, which includes a glass of champagne and access to the pool.

Directions: At Itaewon Station, come out exit 1, and Hamilton Hotel is basically right there.

Pool party aside, here’s what’s going on at Seoul’s four hottest megaclubs on Friday night:

And if the megaclub isn’t your thing, consider Club Function. Lately they’ve been bringing in some pretty sick deep house DJs, and this week is Tim Green.

This event is also put on by HSK, the same team that brings you the First Thursdays parties.

Saturday, July 3rd:

Saturday is… quiet? Only two clubs have listed their DJs online. Here’s what I could find:

However, of course that doesn’t mean the other clubs are closed for the night. The other clubs will be packed as usual, just no DJs worth promoting, I suppose.

That’s all this week. Special thanks to Carlos for helping me out with all the club posts!

I’ll catch you all next week. Cheers!

James

Why not trying to promote some local djs then?????????

Maybe promote some not associated with your fav promotions etc.

    Hey M,

If you know any details on upcoming parties, feel free to help us out by sending party details to parties@seoulgrid.com. If a party promoter doesn’t send us details about their party and it’s not listed on other websites, then we don’t know about it!

    Cheers,
    James
