Immediately as I stepped inside Berlin in Itaewon, I could feel an overwhelming sense that I was back in the 1920’s. The atmosphere of Berlin was carefully designed with all things from glasses to the floors kept in mind. After my first drink came out, I understood that that the atmosphere, which was so carefully crafted, was predictive of the quality the other drinks and dishes that would soon be present.

Korea has always had an obsession with organic products. Although selling organic products in Korea is often used as a gimic, Café 5 CiJung offers original Makkeoli cocktails and drinks, which are complimented by private art exhibitions, all organized by the owner, Oh(5 in Korean) CiJung.
Finger Lounge is one of those venues located in alleys of Cheongdam that not everyone knows about. It’s a modern lounge located in the alley between Tom N Toms cafe and MNet building (the main road that connects ex-Circle, McDonald’s Drivethrough and Club Answer).
The interior is very modern and clean. Bar, which is located in the center of the venue, is metal-finished. The center of the venue space almost reminds you of a large kitchen, where as tables and seats surround the center bar is white and wooden-brown in color. It’s an interesting blend of two different atmospheres captured within a venue.
For the longest time I was on the mission to find the best mojitos in Seoul. All I wanted was a perfectly prepared glass of mojito with fresh mint leaves and lime. I’ve ordered mojitos in a dozen or so bars that are supposedly famous – some rather disappointing and some very pleasantly suprising.
Here are some bars and lounges I checked out that were rather decent (I won’t even mention all the crappy ones I’ve tasted in clubs and cheap bars).
